Rattan armchair manufactured by Bonacina1889 – dimensions h 76 x l 100 x p 100 cm

The research stems from rattan and its technical properties of elasticity, resistance, and flexibility.
The open structure is composed by a range of curves where seating seems suspended.
Situated typologically between the functional and the organic, this rattan chair minimizes bulk and allows space to permeate through it. Elliptic Chair was presented by the designer Sebastian Bergne to the CNAP (Centre National des Arts Plastiques) jury in June 2019 and is in process of acquirement by the CNAP.
