Onde 3 Seat Sofa
The Onde 3 seat sofa by Luca Nichetto for GANDIABLASCO measures 267 x 91 x 75 cm, built on powder-coated aluminium with the collection’s corrugated powder-coated aluminium sheet and polyurethane cushions.
Onde means waves, and the corrugated aluminium sheet that wraps the back is where the name comes from. Luca Nichetto used the profile structurally as well as visually — corrugation stiffens thin sheet, which is what allows the 267 cm back to stay slim.
The ripple also does something to light. Through the day the shadows across the back shift continuously, so the sofa never looks quite the same twice.
Cushions are polyurethane foam rubber under water-repellent fabric on a powder-coated aluminium frame.
