Fez Candle Box 4
The Fez candle box 4 by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales for GANDIABLASCO measures 20 x 20 x 50 cm in powder-coated aluminium — the tall, narrow member of the Fez lantern family.
Where Fez candle box 3 is a 40 cm cube, box 4 is tall and narrow at 20 x 20 x 50 cm. Grouped together the two produce the stepped, uneven rhythm the collection is designed for.
The pattern cut into the powder-coated aluminium takes its name and its geometry from Moroccan screenwork, throwing a figured light across whatever surface it stands on.
The enclosure also shelters the flame, which is what allows candles to stay lit outdoors on an ordinary evening.
