Point
Outdoor furniture from the Mediterranean coast of Spain, since 1920.
Point began in the 1920s in Gata de Gorgos, Spain, where José Pons Pedro wove rattan furniture by hand. A century on it is still a family company, now headquartered in Jalón, and that weaving tradition still runs through the collections, remade in materials built to stay outside all year.
The catalogue covers more than 40 collections for homes and hospitality: sofas and modular seating, lounge chairs, dining tables and chairs, sun loungers and daybeds, umbrellas and lighting. Pieces come from the in-house Point Studio and from designers including Patrick Norguet, Christophe Pillet, Fabio Novembre, Mario Ruiz, Gabriel Teixidó, Francesc Rifé and Henrik Pedersen.
Materials made for outdoor living.
Point’s own Shintotex® fibre is braided by hand over aluminum frames. TechTeak® gives the look of teak without the upkeep, and the natural teak Point uses is FSC®-certified. Shintotex® and TechTeak® contain more than 20% recycled material and are fully recyclable, and Point’s fabrics are PFAS-free. The company holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification, and its Jalón headquarters runs on its own solar installation.
Point furniture is specified for hotel and wellness projects such as Four Seasons in Mallorca and Marrakech and SHA Wellness Clinic, as well as private homes.
You can see Point’s outdoor sofas and the rest of our outdoor furniture in Los Angeles at our West Hollywood showroom on Beverly Blvd.

What is the story behind Point?
Point began in the 1920s in Gata de Gorgos, Spain, where José Pons Pedro wove rattan furniture by hand. It is still a family company, now headquartered in Jalón, and works with its in-house Point Studio and designers such as Patrick Norguet, Christophe Pillet, Fabio Novembre and Mario Ruiz. The hand-weaving it started with is still part of how many pieces are made.
What materials does Point use, and are they durable outdoors?
Point builds on powder-coated aluminum, FSC®-certified teak and two materials of its own: Shintotex®, a weather-resistant fibre braided by hand, and TechTeak®, a low-maintenance alternative to wood. Both contain more than 20% recycled material and are fully recyclable. Cushions use high-resilience foam with waterproof inner covers, and Point's fabrics are PFAS-free.
Can I customize Point furniture — fabric, finish, or configuration?
Yes. Cushion covers can be made in Point's outdoor fabrics or in your own fabric, many frames come in several finishes (some in any RAL color), and table tops are offered in teak, TechTeak®, porcelain or HPL depending on the collection. Modular systems such as Pal, Amba and Long Island let you build sofas, corners and daybeds to fit the space. Our team can walk you through the options.
Does Niche Beverly work with interior designers on Point projects?
Absolutely. We regularly collaborate with interior designers, landscape architects, and FF&E consultants on luxury residential and hospitality projects throughout Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, and Southern California. We offer trade pricing and can source complete outdoor furniture packages from Point's full range, including contract projects.
What is the lead time for Point outdoor furniture orders?
