The Frak sideboard by Rugiano softens its volume with rounded corners and a dynamic faceted front, raised on slender legs.
Frak is continuous and enveloping. Rounded corners soften the perception of the volume, which sets up a dialogue between rigour and softness that runs through the whole piece.
The front is a dynamic composition of surfaces, introducing depth and movement across a form that would otherwise be a box. The rhythm of solids and voids guides the eye along its full length.
Slender legs elevate the structure and lighten it visually, while the recessed top creates a shadow line that separates the volume from what sits on it.
