Nedra Outdoor Kitchen

“Nedra is a design with very little visual impact, which blends naturally into its surroundings and is perceived as just another piece of outdoor furniture, rather than a conventional kitchen,” says architect Fran Silvestre. That is the whole brief, and the reason the system looks the way it does.

The kitchen is built from modules on a consistent 38-inch cube: a drawer module, sink base, smart induction cooktop, BBQ, integrated refrigerator, and a table module available in single or double width. Because every unit shares a footprint, compositions can be arranged in a line, an L, an island, or split across a terrace.

The induction system is hidden, which is what allows the table module to read as a table rather than a hob. Discovering that a piece of outdoor furniture is a fully functional kitchen is, deliberately, the surprise the design is built around.

Construction is aluminium honeycomb panel — rigid and very light — with worktops in Porcelanosa Krion and Xtone ultra-compact porcelain, developed for the collection in collaboration with the manufacturer. An aluminium plinth lifts the modules clear of the ground.
