Majlis Modular Wave Sofa
The Majlis modular wave sofa by Jamela Alawneh for Melaaura is a gently curved, backless seating platform on a solid teak plinth. Designed to be chained into serpentine compositions or float alone as a sculptural bench, with movable bolster backs on either side. Made to order, with custom sizing and fabric options available on request.
From the Majlis Open Air collection by Melaaura, the Majlis modular wave brings movement to the collection’s low seating landscape. The seat sweeps through a soft arc — 275 cm tip to tip — carried on a matching curved plinth of solid teak that lifts the cushion just clear of the ground.
Because the piece has no fixed back, it faces every direction at once. Weighted bolster cushions rest wherever they are needed, so the same module can serve as a sofa, a room divider or an island seat in the round. Linked end to end, wave modules form continuous serpentine runs; paired with the Majlis modular square platforms they wrap terraces, pools and courtyards in unbroken seating.
The upholstery is a weather-resistant bouclé over high-resilience foam; the plinth is solid Grade A teak. Suitable for outdoor and indoor projects.
