Basic Pergolas by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales for GANDIABLASCO are modular aluminium structures available in two module families and multiple footprints. Powder-coated aluminium frame with faux wood aluminium blades, optional curtains, rollers, Veta flooring, folding roofs, remote-controlled lighting and sockets.
“We are exploring new forms and technical functionalities to make pergolas more sophisticated and complete spaces,” says José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales — and Basic is the collection where that thinking is most flexible.
The system is modular. Module 1 covers square and near-square footprints from roughly 100 x 100 inches up to 148 x 148 inches; Module 2 extends into long rectangles up to 148 x 294 inches, with or without integrated flooring. At 98 inches high throughout, the proportions stay consistent as the plan grows.
The frame is powder-coated aluminium, with faux wood aluminium blades that give the warmth of timber without any of its maintenance. Options include folding roofs for adjustable shade, curtains and rollers for privacy and wind, Veta flooring, remote-controlled light points, and integrated power sockets.
That specification range is what makes Basic as suited to a large contract terrace as to a private garden — the same structural system scales in both directions.
