The Teseo dining chair has a clear concept at its core: wood that is sewn. Cord stitching runs continuously between teak slats, holding the structure together in a way that feels almost tailored. It is an unusual approach for outdoor furniture, and that is exactly the point. Designed by AMDL CIRCLE for Roda, the chair does not rely on visual excess to make an impression.</p><p>The faceted sides give the silhouette a quiet geometry. Nothing is ornate. Materials and Construction

The frame is FSC-certified teak, which means the wood is responsibly sourced and genuinely built for outdoor conditions. Teak is dense, naturally resistant to moisture, and ages well without losing its structural integrity. The cord running through the slats is 3mm polyester — thin enough to look precise, strong enough to hold up over years of use.</p><p>This is not a chair that hides its construction. The stitching is the detail. It is visible, deliberate, and central to what makes the Teseo collection recognizable.</p>

Sitting in It

The seat height sits at 17¾ inches, which works well at a standard dining table. With the optional hydro-draining cushion, it rises slightly to just under 19½ inches and adds a layer of comfort without changing the chair’s overall proportion. The cushion is designed to drain quickly after rain, so it stays usable even in unpredictable weather.The seat depth is just over 21 inches. Enough room to sit properly, not so deep that posture suffers at a dining table.

Where It Works Best

This is an outdoor dining chair, and it is most at home on a terrace or in a garden dining setup. It pairs naturally with the Teseo teak table, which uses the same cord-stitching detail across its slatted top. Together they read as a considered collection rather than a mix of pieces.
