Esedra Sunbed Mattress

The Esedra sunbed is supplied as an aluminium and woven-fibre frame; this mattress is what completes it. It is cut to the sunbed’s exact profile, including the adjustable backrest section, so it articulates with the frame instead of creasing across the hinge.

The cover is outdoor-grade acrylic in Nature White, the collection’s core neutral, chosen to sit against the Sand Beige Natwick fibre used on the Esedra frames.

Construction is quick-drying throughout, so the mattress recovers fast after rain or after someone gets out of a pool onto it — the practical test any poolside cushion actually faces. The acrylic is UV-stable and holds its colour through a full season of direct sun.

Luca Nichetto designed Esedra for Ethimo with reference to classical architecture, and the cushion programme is specified alongside the frames rather than sourced generically.
