Venexia Complementary Back Cushion
The Venexia complementary back cushion by Luca Nichetto for Ethimo measures 40 x 40 x 10 cm and weighs 0.5 kg. Covers in Acrylic Lichen Melange, Acrylic Lichen Twill, Rubelli Orange Stripe polyester, or plain Polyester Orange.
A 40 x 40 cm square with a 10 cm depth — enough substance to genuinely support a back, not just decorate a seat. Luca Nichetto specified it as part of the Venexia collection for Ethimo rather than as a generic accessory.
Four covers are offered and they split into two moods. Acrylic Lichen Melange and Acrylic Lichen Twill are textural neutrals in the collection’s earthy green-grey; the Melange has a flecked, heathered surface while the Twill has a visible diagonal weave. Rubelli Orange Stripe polyester and plain Polyester Orange go the other way entirely, introducing a deliberate warm accent.
The Rubelli option is worth noting — the Venetian textile house is better known for interior silks, and Nichetto, himself from Venice, brought that reference into an outdoor collection named after the city.
All four are made for outdoor life: UV-stable, quick-drying, and soft enough to be used rather than arranged.
