It is the configuration in the Portofino range that has decided where to look, and made that decision with complete, unhurried conviction.

Where the other Portofino sofa set configurations arrange themselves around a central axis of symmetry, gathering people inward, creating the intimacy of a circle around a shared center, the sofa set 4 commits to one direction entirely. Its long, sweeping form stretches along the terrace with a directional confidence that draws the eye along its length and anchors the space in a single decisive gesture. This is not a configuration that pulls people together around a coffee table. It lines them up along a view: oriented toward the garden, the pool, the ocean, or the horizon, and inviting a quality of extended, side-by-side ease and shared attention that only a chaise-led composition can produce. The construction is consistent with the Portofino collection throughout: hand-woven synthetic cord wound continuously over powder-coated aluminium frames in the collection’s dense interlocking weave, running unbroken from section to section to give the full configuration a surface unity that conceals its modularity entirely. The long, low form reads as a single resolved object, one sustained gesture in woven cord and aluminium rather than a set of joined parts. The surface shifts with outdoor light across the day in the collection’s characteristic way: textured and warm in morning sun, deeper and quieter in shade, lending the composition a visual life that sustains interest from any vantage point and at any hour.

The finish is the collection’s signature warm greige,matte, sun-resistant, and naturally deep without announcing itself. The braided crown edge traces the full length of the backrest in a continuous line of artisanal precision that holds the elongated form together and gives it the same refined finishing quality found in every other Portofino piece, however different in configuration. The low seat height and generous cushion depth draw the body into the particular posture of the chaise, not fully upright, not fully reclined, but settled and extended in the way that makes an afternoon beside a pool or garden feel like the only reasonable way to spend it.
