At over four metres across its longest dimension, the Portofino sofa set large has the scale to hold a large terrace without being diminished by it, and the cohesion to make that scale feel intentional rather than merely expansive. Its sweeping L-shaped footprint is built on the same modular logic that runs throughout the Portofino collection, where individual corner units, straight sections, and a low coffee table combine into a composition that reads as a single, unified object. Hand-woven synthetic cord is wound over powder-coated aluminium frames throughout, in the dense, continuous interlocking weave that defines every piece in the collection. The cord runs unbroken across each module, across the back, the arms, the base, and every transition between sections, giving the assembled set a surface unity and material coherence that conceals the modularity entirely and presents instead a form of monolithic calm at considerable scale.

The surface behaves as it does in every other piece of the Portofino collection: shifting with outdoor light across the hours, textured and warm in morning sun, deeper and quieter in afternoon shade, lending the full composition a visual richness and dimensional life that flat or moulded surfaces cannot replicate. The cord is engineered to maintain its tension, colour, and structural integrity across seasons of sustained outdoor use, performing without compromise through sun, moisture, and the demands of daily life on a well-used terrace.
