The Majlis lounge sofa by Jamela Alawneh for Melaaura is a low platform sofa on a solid teak plinth, with a strapped bolster back that rests wherever you place it. Offered in 188 cm and 285 cm lengths. Made to order, with custom sizing and fabric options available on request.
From the Majlis Open Air collection by Melaaura, the Majlis lounge sofa translates the collection’s floor-level ease into a deep platform sofa. A generous single-piece seat cushion rests on a recessed solid teak plinth, while a weighted bolster — held by a tailored fabric strap — forms the back, positioned freely along the platform’s edge.
Because nothing is fixed, the sofa faces whichever way the gathering does. Dress it with the collection’s back cushions for deeper sofa comfort, slide the bolster to one end for chaise-style lounging, or chain it with the Majlis modular square and wave platforms into a continuous majlis landscape. At 95 cm deep and just 38 cm high, it feels like an extension of the terrace itself.
Upholstered in weather-resistant bouclé over high-resilience foam, with a solid Grade A teak plinth. Suitable for outdoor and indoor use.
