Seeds Bench / Pot Holder

The most interesting piece in Cristina Celestino’s Seeds collection for Ethimo is the one that refuses to be a single thing. The bench / pot holder is exactly what its name suggests — a low module that can be sat on, planted into, or both.

Three lengths are offered: 83, 123 and 163 cm, all 43 cm deep. Two heights, 30 cm and 40 cm, cover a low perch and a proper bench seat. Lined up, the modules form a continuous run; alternated with planting, they turn a terrace edge into something closer to a garden wall.

The frame is powder-coated aluminium; the top is offered in variegated cotto, natural teak, or Laminam. Cotto is the collection’s defining material — a glazed terracotta whose colour shifts across each surface, referencing the fired-clay pots that have edged Italian gardens for centuries.

Combined with the Seeds side tables, coffee table and dining tables, the bench units let a whole outdoor space be composed from one modular grammar, with seating, surfaces and greenery treated as parts of the same system.
