Folia Coffee Table

Folia is Luca Nichetto’s exercise in wrought iron for Ethimo — a deliberately old technique applied with a contemporary eye. The coffee table is small, Ø34 cm and 48 cm high, and it is meant to be moved: pulled up beside a lounge chair, set down next to a daybed, carried to wherever a drink needs putting.

The frame is worked iron, textured rather than smooth, and offered in four matt finishes: Olive Green, Textured Limestone White, Metal Textured matt Cinnamon, and Textured matt Dark Grey. Nichetto let the forming process show, so the leg profiles have a slightly hand-made irregularity.

Tops are in enamelled lava stone — Oliva, Nebbia, Senape, or London Smoke. Lava stone takes a rich, matte enamel that holds its colour outdoors indefinitely, and it gives the little table more physical weight than its size suggests, which keeps it stable.

Folia pairs the coffee table with a matching stool at Ø33 x H44 cm, so the two can be used interchangeably as a seat or a surface.
