The Solanas candle box does with light what the rest of the collection does with mass: micro-perforated aluminium turns a candle into a field of small points rather than a single flame.
Three sizes are offered — 20 x 20 x 30, 30 x 30 x 40 and 30 x 30 x 60 cm — and they are designed to be grouped, stepping in height across a table or along a terrace edge.
The perforation also shelters the flame from wind, which is the practical reason boxed candles work outdoors where open ones do not.
