Swing Daybed

Swing is a modular system, and the daybed is the module that changes what a composition can do. Where the corner, central and end modules build seating, the daybed adds a place to lie down — and because it shares the system’s connection detail, it attaches directly to the rest of the arrangement.

Patrick Norguet designed Swing for Ethimo around a combination of FSC-certified teak and slim powder-coated metal. The teak is offered natural, for warmth, or pickled, for a soft weathered grey. The metal comes in Sepia Black or Warmwhite — one recessive, one bright.

Cushions are outdoor-grade Acrylic Nature Grey, the system’s core neutral, which keeps a large composition calm even when it runs to several metres.

Placed at the end of a Swing sofa run, the daybed lets a single arrangement work as seating for a group during the day and a lounger for one person afterwards — which is generally what a terrace actually needs.
