Aram High Stool
The Aram high stool by Nendo for GANDIABLASCO measures Ø36 x 43 cm in handmade powder-coated stainless steel — the taller companion to the Aram low stool, usable as a seat or a side surface.
Nendo, the Tokyo studio led by Oki Sato, works almost entirely in small conceptual moves, and Aram is one of them: a stool reduced to a cylinder of worked steel.
At Ø36 cm and 43 cm high the high stool sits at seat height, but like most good small objects it does more than one job — beside a lounge chair it becomes a drinks table, and in a pair it becomes low seating.
It is made from powder-coated stainless steel and finished by hand, which is why the surface has a quality that industrial tube furniture does not.
The Aram family also includes a low stool and coffee tables in two heights, all built on the same cylindrical logic.
