Alejandra Gandía-Blasco channels her passion for the interplay of light and color in her artistic endeavors into the design of the IRIS outdoor table collection.

She explains the transition of her artistic research into design, stating, “The collection is based on my experimental work within the field of art with which I manage to capture moments of light through photography, that is, colors of sunsets and sunrises on different coasts. In this case, I transferred this line of research from art to design.

I am interested in the resulting colors and how to apply them to the glass in the design of the tables.”

This innovative approach results in the IRIS coffee tables, which beautifully translate the nuanced colors captured in Gandía-Blasco’s photographic studies of natural light into the realm of furniture design. These tables feature vitrified printed glass tops that reflect a range of colors inspired by various moments of the day, specifically the vibrant hues of sunsets and sunrises.
