Table TESEO 300

The Teseo dining table by Roda is crafted from FSC-certified teak with cord stitching joining each slat. Designed by AMDL CIRCLE, it brings a refined, architectural quality to outdoor dining spaces. Available in multiple lengths, it pairs naturally with the Teseo chair collection.

A Different Kind of Table

The Table Teseo 300 dining table does something most outdoor furniture doesn’t bother with. It stitches itself together. Literally. Each teak slat that forms the tabletop is joined by a continuous polyester cord running through and across the surface, creating a pattern that looks almost tailored. It’s an unusual detail, and it works. The result is a table that feels considered rather than simply constructed.

Designed by AMDL CIRCLE for Roda, the concept borrows from the language of sartorial craft. Sewing wood is the phrase the collection uses, and it earns it.

Materials and Build

The structure is FSC-certified teak paired with a 3mm polyester cord. Teak is already a strong choice for outdoor use — naturally dense, resistant to moisture, and stable across seasons. But here it’s not just a material decision. The slats and the cord work together visually and structurally, each one reinforcing the other. The legs are turned and sinuous, which contrasts nicely with the more geometric language of the top.

At over 119 inches long with a depth of just over 43 inches, this is a substantial table. There’s real clearance underneath — 26 inches from floor to the underside of the top, with nearly 109 inches of open space between the legs. It seats a crowd comfortably without feeling like a banquet hall piece.

Comfort and Function

Outdoor dining tables don’t always think about the people sitting at them. This one does. The height sits at just under 30 inches, which is standard and intentional. And the internal leg spacing means guests aren’t fighting for legroom. But the cord stitching also adds something less obvious — a slight visual softness to what could easily have been a cold, architectural piece. It keeps the table from feeling too rigid.

Where It Belongs

This is a table for a serious outdoor dining space. A wide terrace, a shaded pergola, a garden with room to breathe. It doesn’t fit in a small balcony setup, and it’s not trying to. The scale and the material language place it somewhere between architecture and furniture — closer to a design object than a garden accessory.

It pairs directly with the Teseo chair, which carries the same cord-between-slats detail along its faceted sides. Together they make a cohesive collection that reads as intentional from every angle.

Built to Last

Teak has a long track record outdoors. It handles sun, rain, and temperature shifts without much complaint. The FSC certification means the wood is responsibly sourced, which matters for a piece at this level. And because the construction relies on material quality rather than surface treatments or finishes that wear off, the table tends to age well. It silvers gradually if left untreated, or holds its warm tone with basic maintenance. Either way, it stays structurally sound.

Nordic design inspires HAY's taste for clean lines, simple geometric shapes, and quality materials like wood, metal, and textiles. Anyway, you still use Lorem Ipsum and rightly so, as it will always have a place in the web workers toolbox.
