The reference is sand: the way a dune reads as a single colour from a distance and dozens of subtly different ones up close. Ethimo built that into the weave structure rather than the dye, so the effect changes through the day instead of staying flat.
Construction is Polypropylene Natural — a fibre chosen because it is genuinely weather-resistant, dries fast, resists UV fading, and can be hosed down. This is a rug meant to live outdoors permanently, not one brought in when the forecast turns.
