Design Philosophy

Designed by Stephane De Winter, the Yiko Lounge Chair is an exercise in restraint and refinement. Curved lines define every angle, creating a silhouette that balances visual lightness with structural integrity. The design draws from Japanese minimalism, where form follows function without excess, and traditional craftsmanship informs every detail. Materials and Craft

The frame is crafted from natural teak, finished in warm teak natural that deepens gracefully over time. Teak’s inherent density and oil content make it ideally suited to outdoor environments, resisting moisture and temperature fluctuations with quiet resilience. The seat is woven in recycled two-tone wicker in the twisted chalk finish, a material choice that speaks to both environmental consideration and tactile comfort. The wicker’s dual tones create subtle depth, evoking a sense of nostalgia while remaining thoroughly contemporary.
