Elevated Daybed 4.0
The Elevated Daybed 4.0 by José A. Gandía-Blasco Canales for GANDIABLASCO is a 200 x 200 x 200 cm cube in powder-coated aluminium with faux wood aluminium blades and polyurethane cushions.
The Elevated Daybed is a two-metre cube — a bed raised inside its own open pavilion. Version 4.0 clads the structure in faux wood aluminium blades, giving the shade the warmth of timber slats with none of the maintenance.
The blades do the real work: they filter direct sun into stripes while keeping the structure open to air and view, so the daybed stays cool without becoming a closed box.
Cushions are polyurethane foam rubber under water-repellent outdoor fabric.
