Patio Daybed

The Patio daybed is where Zanellato/Bortotto’s cocoon idea becomes fully three-dimensional. Rather than a flat platform with a back, the piece curves around itself — 170 cm wide, 140 cm deep, 70 cm high — so the woven rope forms a shallow shell that shelters whoever is inside it.

That depth is unusual for an outdoor daybed and it changes how the piece is used. Two people can sit facing each other across it, or one can lie diagonally with room to spare. The 70 cm rope back gives real shade to the head and shoulders in the middle of the day.

The frame is FSC-certified natural teak, hand-wrapped in outdoor rope in Light Grey on Light Grey or Laguna on Light Grey. Cushions are offered in outdoor Polypropylene White, Polypropylene Deep Green, or Acrylic Nature White.

Placed at the far end of a terrace or beside a pool, the daybed reads as a small architecture in its own right — which is precisely what the designers intended.
