Ribot Counterstool

Counter height and bar height are not the same thing, and outdoor ranges routinely offer only the latter. The Ribot counterstool fills the gap: 82 cm overall with a 65 cm seat, which is the correct height for a kitchen island or a lower outdoor counter.

Marc Sadler designed Ribot for Ethimo in solid FSC-certified natural teak, with the collection’s characteristic slatted construction. At 51 x 43 cm in plan and 8.5 kg it is light enough to move one-handed — unusual for a teak stool, and the result of careful section sizing rather than thin material.

Seat cushions are available separately in outdoor-grade Acrylic Nature Grey, Acrylic Nature White, or Acrylic Espresso, all chosen to work against the blonde tone of untreated teak.

The Ribot collection also includes a barstool at 92 cm for standard bar height, so a project with both counter and bar surfaces can keep one design language throughout.
