Rafael Sunbed Back Cushion
The Rafael sunbed back cushion by Paola Navone for Ethimo measures 75 x 50 cm, cut for the Rafael sunbed’s adjustable backrest. Covers in Rubelli Outmap Laguna polypropylene, Rubelli Gris Sauge polyester, or Hydro polyester in White, Grey and Acqua.
A sunbed backrest is a specific shape, and a generic cushion will not sit on it correctly. This one is cut to the Rafael sunbed’s reclining section at 75 x 50 cm, so it stays put as the back is raised and lowered.
Five covers are offered. Rubelli Outmap Laguna is a polypropylene from the Venetian textile house Rubelli, with the pattern character of an interior fabric. Rubelli Gris Sauge is a polyester in a soft sage grey. The three Hydro polyesters — White, Grey and Acqua — are the most water-resistant of the set, and the obvious choice for a poolside position.
All are UV-stable and quick-drying, built to be left on the sunbed rather than carried in and out.
Paola Navone designed Rafael for Ethimo around hand-worked teak; the fabric programme runs across the collection’s lounge armchair, daybed and sunbed, so a full setting can be specified in one cloth.
